Sue Samek is a graphic artist living in the New York Metropolitan Area. Her most recent works incorporate both her love of quilt making and her love of kaleidoscopes in what she calls her Photoscopes. Kaleidoscopes exhibit an ever changing array of images, photoscopes capture a series of single moments never to be experienced again in the same way. Each Photoscope is a personal mandala and according to Buddhist belief has spiritual significance. Using photographs as the artist's palette, the photoscope affords an endless opportunity to manipulate color and form.
